we're doing a fashion show for fuckthemainstream / vf at the next Freaquency party - Saturday, September 24th.
So, we're looking for models for the fashion show.
Requirements:
Must be able to attend the Freaqueny 3 party, Saturday, September 24th in NYC.
Must be freaky / attractive looking.
What you get in return:

How to apply:
Send pictures of yourself (3-10 pictures). Must be atleast one full-body shot, and one head shot. Pictures must be clear (not blurry, no crappy webcam pics) in .jpg format and no bigger than 100k in filesize.
Send us your measurements (height, weight, etc), plus clothing sizes.

now that u can turn off the profile music, added a new vf music player. there's a link to it on the left side of the pages, next to the radio link. just something to showcase some newer industrial / ebm music.
this player will contain about 10 songs, and the songs will change about every week or two.
no, you cannot download the tracks, but you can always support the artists and buy their music.

the "edit profile" page was getting a bit cluttered, so made a new "edit settings" page.
also, added an option to disable music in profiles since you guys were bitching for it.

well, we've lasted over a day since implementing the power bombs, and only 5 members were suspended, all of whom were either pissing off a bunch of people, or unjustly downrating people.
so, to the people who say this is such a horrible idea, as you can see, its really not changing much. and yes we do still keep an eye on things to make sure people are being fair. so yes there are users who don't like the idea, as expected, but a lot of users also like the idea (including a lot of free users). it seems whenever i do a somewhat major change to the site, there's a lot of bitching, so really does not surprise me.
a couple updates:
changed it so that when a premium views another premium account, it does not log the view. a few people requested this one, so there ya go.
now when a premium bombs a user, there is an optional field to give a "reason" for bombing that member. this is mainly to help the admins out, so that when a user complains that they were suspended, they will be able to see the reasons they were suspended.
to answer a couple questions - if you are a free account and you are bombed, it will show a little damage counter on your userinfo, right under where your age/location/rating stuff is. if it does not show any damage, that means you weren't bombed.
no, you cannot see who bombed you. but, in the future you may be able to see the reasons why you were bombed.

hmm, that last entry turned into a big mess, huh?
well, despite the bickering, there were some good suggestions. most of them were previously suggested or planned for the future, so yeah i'll be implenting the ones which I like.
now, some of the premiums were pretty pissed about giving free users ability to post music. so, a couple new premium features:
-See your last 100 profile views. click on "my views" to see them. will only keep track of the last 7 days of views.
and my personal favorite feature:
-Power bombs. this one is a bit complicated, but here's how it works:
Power Bombs are a way for us to get rid of unwanted members.
Premium Members each receive 3 Power Bombs every month. (they do not rollover to the next month if you do not use them.) They can send a bomb to any Free Account (cannot bomb premium members), and you cannot send more than one bomb to the same member.
Once a user is bombed, they receive 1 point of damage. If their damage goes up to 10, their account is suspended for 15 days, at which point they will be unable to access their account. Damage points also get reset once a month
now to my knowledge, this feature has never been done on a site before. and i already know that some of you guys are gonna think this is a horrible idea. but i think it'll be fun. ;) it basically is a way for premium members to act as sort of a moderator, to help keep out unwanted members from the site. there's constantly people purposely trying to cause drama and being assholes, and its hard for the moderators to keep up with it all. by giving premiums this privilege, they can actually help reduce the drama. yes i'm sure people will use this for personal reasons, but keep in mind, a user has to get bombed by 10 different premium members in order to get suspended, so its not really an easy thing to do.

just want to say thanks again for everyone's input on the site, i always appreciate the suggestions and do have some cool stuff planned.
Updates:
-now you can change your timezone on the site, you can change your timezone at the top of the "edit profile" page.
-free users can now put music in their profiles. i know originally this was a premium-only feature, but i decided to be nice. don't worry, some more premium features will be added soon.
Thanks to everyone that came out to CYBERTRON this week, it was our first week at our new venue. Cybertron is now every friday in nyc at Remote Lounge. This club is absolutely beautiful, they've got all these high-tech video monitors and video cameras, which you can actually control to view different parts of the club.
